Choosing the Air Purifier For You
In this section of our Store, air purifiers are set out in categories according to specific needs.
In our Air Purifiers web page we have a section called What to Look for in an Air Purifier.
There you will find detailed information on factors to consider when buying an air purifier.
Our Shopping Guide is a tool created to help you choose the best air purifiers
for your personal environment.

In our environment today we all need help in keeping our indoor air as clean as possible.
The cleanest room will have impurities in the air. We have chemicals, gases and odors from common
household and commercial products, construction and renovation materials; mold and bacteria from
humidifiers and air conditioning systems; and airborne particles such as dust, pet dander, and pollen.
Our air cleaning units are manufactured to reduce everyday pollutants and to foster healthier living.
These health problems can be seasonal or year-long. They can be predictable and controllable or they can catch you by surprise.
While allergies and asthma are often triggered by the particle type of pollutant (pollen, dust, etc) they can also be aggravated
by VOCs-volatile organic chemicals in the air. And certainly MCS is a reaction to airborne chemical pollutants. There is often
an overlap of these types of triggers and related symptoms.
Therefore we recommend the units in this cateogry for allergies, asthma & MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity), since they are very
efficient at trapping a broad range of particles including pollen, dust, pet dander, mold, fungi, bacteria, and viruses, as well as
odors, gases and chemicals in order to reduce the irritation caused by these indoor air pollutants.
It is especially important to use an air cleaner in your bedroom at night to allow your body to fully relax and regenerate.
There are many pollutants in our homes and offices of which we are not even aware.
They can be found in our cleaning products, home and office furnishings, building materials, 'air fresheners,'
perfumes and other fragranced personal care products.
Your indoor air could also be compromised by the traffic pollution or smog that inevitably enters when
you open a door or window., If your home is well insulated, the polluted air then continues to
recirculate inside when the windows are closed.
Our air purifiers are known in the industry for being the most effective in safely removing chemicals, gases and odors.
Mold spores grow well in damp, dark places and in appliances that involve moisture, such as humidifiers.
These mold particles and the toxins they produce can be inhaled, causing serious health problems.
Careful steps should be taken to reduce the factors conducive to mold growth and to eliminate existing mold,
whether it be on walls, in ceilings or in fabrics.
Our air cleaning units trap mold spores and prevent them from reproducing.
TobaccoSmoke
Because of the extreme toxicity of tobacco smoke, we strongly recommend that all smoking should only take place outside and several yards away from a building, where any wind will carry the smoke away from open doors or windows.
We do have specialized indoor air purifiers that can be used to combat tobacco smoke, a 'hybrid pollutant'. One of our lines has a special tar pre-filter and an extra deep, activated granular carbon bed—24 to 27 lbs, 3" to 3.5" thick—to adsorb the toxic chemicals, odors and gases of tobacoo smoke. Since these air purifers have only a micro-HEPA filter (to make room for the deep bed carbon filter), we recommend coordinating them with our models that have true medical-grade HEPA filtration necessary for high capacity removal of smoke particles.

Wood Smoke Wildfires are a serious threat to our health. The aftermath leaves particles and chemicals in the air that
will seriously hinder breathing and affect other organs in our bodies. Even a beautiful wood fire in an
inviting home setting can cause irritation in the lungs and eyes if the smoke and its residue are not contained or trapped.
We consider smoke to be a 'hybrid' pollutant; as a by-product of combustion it contains toxic chemicals and harmful
particles. Therefore, an effective air purifier for smoke needs to be able to remove both types of pollutants from the air.

With the 'Green Trend' today, hotel guests are increasingly selective about where they choose to spend
their 'relax' time. A clean air environment in your guest's room will enhance their comfort and
well-being—and your reputation. Not only will they benefit from a good sleep and a memorable experience,
they will pass on the good news to their friends and co-workers.
Our safe, portable, high efficiency air purifiers
remove allergens such as dust, pollen, and airborne mold spores;
and irritating airborne chemicals from cleaning products,
perfumes, and renovation materials. Our filters are high capacity and are easily maintained and replaced.
Medical offices and patient examination rooms need to be kept extremely clean. Our purifiers clean the air of
allergens and a range of airborne chemicals, bacteria and viruses.
Children are among the most vulnerable to the health effects of air pollution for several reasons.
Their respiratory systems are not fully developed and therefore cannot filter airborne pollutants as readily as healthy adults.
Since children are small, active and tend to play on the floor, they are more likely to inhale dust and chemicals which tend
to fall to the ground. In a group situation with close contact, bacteria and viruses are more likely to spread from one
person to another.
Our air purifiers clean the air of VOCs (volatile organic chemicals) from arts and crafts, toys, cleaning products,
building and renovation materials; as well as dust, pollen, and many of the bacteria and viruses children tend to pick
up and bring home!
Our seniors are also very vulnerable to the health effects of indoor air pollution.
Their bodies are not as strong as they used to be, making them more susceptible to toxins and diseases.
They tend to spend most of their time indoors, exposing them to indoor air pollutants which compound any
current health challenges.
In seniors residences they are exposed daily to a variety of bacteria and viruses, dust and pollens;
cleaning chemicals; formaldehyde from furnishings, renovation and building materials; scented products,
and outside air pollution which gets trapped inside due to our energy efficient buildings.
In some cases, incontinence may also be an issue which can affect the air quality in a group home or care facility.
