DETAILS
The AllerAir AirMedicPlus Vocarb UV is featured with a germicidal
ultraviolet lamp in addition to HEPA and carbon filters,
making it particularly effective for microbiological contaminants such as mold, bacteria and viruses.
The AllerAir Air MedicPlus Vocarb UV also removes a broad range
of other indoor air pollutants including dust, pollen, pet dander,
chemicals, gases and odors.
The AirMedicPlus Vocarb UV features an 18 pound, 2 inch thick, activated granular carbon filter with
Permaform (potassium iodide) to remove higher concentrations
of airborne chemicals such as mold mycotoxins. The thickness
of the carbon bed and the granular form of the carbon allow
for more 'dwell time' as the airborne chemicals pass over
the filter, and a greater capacity for trapping the pollutants.
The 23 sq.ft. of medical-grade HEPA filter removes 99.97%
of airborne particles 0.3 microns in diameter. AllerAir's
HEPA filter is warm rolled to prevent cracking, and evenly
pleated to allow for optimum filtering capacity.
The unit has variable speed control and a high airflow rate at 560
CFM, with air intake 360 degrees around the sides of the unit.
The pre-filter can be cleaned by vacuuming the outside screen
around the unit with a vacuum brush attachment (no disassembly
required). Removal of the pre-filter for replacement is done
by unscrewing the bottom plate of the unit.

FILTRATION SYSTEM
The AllerAir AirMedicPlus Vocarb UV utilizes a 5-stage filtration system:
- A pre-filter for trapping large particles like dust, hair and pet dander;
available as a white poly pre-filter or a black carbon pre-filter
NOTE: The pre-filter should be changed or vacuumed every 2 to 4 months depending on the dust level; vacuum the outside screen of the unit with a soft brush attachment
- Two anti-microbial filters wrapped around the inside and outside of the carbon filter cylinder
to suppress the growth of microorganisms
- An 18 pound 2 inch thick, granular, activated MAC-B carbon filter with zeolite,
and Permaform (potassium iodide) to remove higher concentrations of specific VOCs (volatile organic compounds) such as
formaldehyde found in new buildings, renovation materials, carpets, furniture, upholstery and fabrics
- 23 sq.ft. of true medical grade HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of airborne
particles 0.3 microns in diameter
- A germicidal ultraviolet lamp to break down the DNA of microbiological contaminants (such as bacteria,
viruses and mold) so they cannot replicate

AllerAir AirMedicPlus Vocarb UV
WARRANTY
AllerAir residential air purifiers with UV lights have a 5-year limited warranty on the motor, parts (cord, switch, wheels) and labour.
AllerAir does not provide a warranty for expendable parts such as UV lamps and filters.
AllerAir does not warrant length of filter life, since it will be different in each home. Many factors are involved such as the amount of dust and pollution which come in from outside when windows are open (and they must be opened regularly); renovation materials; home cleaning products; 'air fresheners'; candles; perfumes; personal care products and sprays, etc. |
